My Lipstick Collection
I keep a wide selection of favourite lipsticks and favourite brands in this glass hexagon (bought in the Sainsbury's sale) so that they are always on my desk ready to grab!
MAC lipsticks left to right:
D for Danger - Matte, So Chaud - Matte, Tropic Tonic - Matte, Morange - Amplified, Tokyo Tizzy - Cremesheen, Saigon Summer - Cremesheen, Pink Plaid - Matte, Mehr - Matte, Velvet Teddy - Matte, Bengal Tiger - Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour
No guesses for my favourite finish! I am very much a fan of the matte finish and bright colours. MAC by far does my favourite orange shades and I always tend to go for a red-orange tone.
Rimmel Kate Moss lipsticks left to right:
30, 53 - Retro Red, 01, 51 - Muse Red, 37, 110, 34, 28, 38, 38, 40
I personally only buy from the Kate Moss range at Rimmel as I love the formula used, I also mainly buy reds with my personal favourite being 110 for it's brightness. As you can see, 38 has been purchased twice as it is a stable nude in my collection. I am also loving the
Bourjois Rouge Edition Souffle de Velvet from left to right:
03 VIPeach, 05 Fuchsiamallow, 06 Cherry Leaders
I must admit, I do not have the patience for these. From application to "setting time" I find it takes a while and I am a naturally messy and clumsy person so I find it irritating to spend so much time panicking about my lips! The colours are brilliant and come up really opaque so I am determined to try these a few more times before autumn really hits and the brighter shades get changed out for deep plums and reds!
Topshop lipsticks from left to right:
The Damned, Inhibition, Straight Ace
No guesses for what colours I like from Topshop! I feel like, with Topshop being more about clothing, they tend to push the boat out a bit more when it comes to lipsticks and Straight Ace is one of my all time favourite colours when I'm feeling brave enough to wear it! I love the colours and find they can last through a couple drinks before I need to reapply!
Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid left to right:
15 Electric Pink, 25 Orange Shot, 35 Rebel Red, 45 Possessed Plum
These are similar to the Bourjois colours, I love them and they have great colour pay off but they take awhile to come across as matte. They look nice as glosses though so I'm not as worried with drying time!
Honourable Mentions left to right:
Revlon Colour Stay Moisture Stain in 005 Parisian Passion, NARS in Heatwave, Loreal Colour Riche in 288 Intense Fuchsia, Body Shop in Colour Crush, Tanya Burr Lip Gloss in Carousel
Revlon - This is a brilliant, rich, deep plum and lasts extremely well. I have yet to pick up anymore of these and I'm not actually sure why!
NARS - This is easily one of my favourite colours and it came in a beauty box so it was an absolute bargain! It lasts forever and is matte.
Loreal - Who doesn't love a bright pink? And I got it for less than half price as the store was changing their stand!
Body Shop - I had to include this for sheer staying power! I kid you not, I could not get this off for about 48 hours after applying it! Even if I did have to go to lectures with bright pink lips, it was worth it.
Tanya Burr - I am strongly anti-gloss as I can not stand the textures of them but the Tanya Burr glosses do not annoy me and they come in some really cute colours, plus who wouldn't want an adorable mini lip gloss like the one I got in a Christmas collection last year?!
